I hold a M.S.E. in Educational Leadership and an Ed.S. degree in Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Superior. In 2019 I finished my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
I have a wonderful wife and two children. I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, pop culture, politics, art, history, sports and travel.
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. I am excited to be entering my fourth year as the District Administrator for the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District. We have an incredible staff, excellent facilities, and a very supportive community.
Compared to other districts, the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District sets itself apart in numerous ways. Here are a few:
- Provides small school attention with big school opportunities.
- Class sizes are low in grades K-3 maintaining an 18:1 student to teacher ratio or additional teacher support for larger classes.
- Students achieve significantly higher than the state average in Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies on required state tests.
- On average, 70% of our graduates go on to further education one year from graduation.
- We are at the leading edge of effective, research-based initiatives like Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
Public education provides opportunities for all students that cannot be found in other environments. We ensure every student is successful, regardless of race, color, socioeconomic background, or any other demographic feature. We offer intervention programs for students that struggle, enrichment for those that need an extra challenge and extra-curricular opportunities to expand students experiences and opportunities for character and leadership development.
Not only does the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District provide a premier public education, we also do so efficiently and effectively. Despite being one of the larger districts in the state (25th percentile), providing food service programs in five buildings, running bus routes through the hilly coulee region, and maintaining a high level of programming, we have some of the lowest spending per student in the state (70th percentile). In CESA #4 we are the fourth lowest spending district per student out of 26 school districts.
I look forward to another great year in our wonderful community and cannot wait to see the amazing things our students accomplish. Please feel free to contact me any time with questions or to discuss how we can make our district the best in Wisconsin.
