News from the Athletic Director

There was a mandatory meeting for High School parents and athletes on July 31st at the Middle School Gym. If you could not attend, please view Athlete Parent Meeting Fall 2017-18 and then fill out the Mandatory Parent Meeting Sign-off Sheet. Return this form to Mrs. Byom, Athletic Secretary, at the High School Office.

Is your athlete ready to go? Before being allowed to participate in any practice, high school or middle school students must complete a physical or a WIAA issued alternate year card if they have had a physical within the last year. Physical and pledge cards must be turned in before being allowed to practice. Mrs. Byom, our high school athletic secretary, will be  back in the high school office from July 25th – August 12th from 12:00-4:00 p.m. to collect and update these forms.  Middle school students should see Mrs. Jenkins, middle school secretary, for these forms as well. She will be in the office starting August 15th 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. 

We are very excited to announce that the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School will be adding a girls high school swimming coop this year.  We will be joining Holmen, Onalaska, and Aquinas students.  This program starts August 8th.  If interested please follow these steps on the Holmen School District website.  Parents and athletes should also attend one or the other of two sports meeting in either Onalaska (7/27) or Holmen (7/17).

This form must be completed and submitted to Pete Peterson, Activities Director, prior to a student being declared eligible to practice and compete.

Physicals or signed alternate year cards are required for all student athletes in Grades 7-12. No practice will be allowed without the proper card on file. Forms may be picked up at the High School Office.

G-E-T Athletic Booster Club Meeting – We meet the first Monday of the month at the High School. Come and see how you can get involved.

Coulee Conference Sports Schedule Information – This website has sports schedules for participating Coulee Conference schools as well as scores and standings. If you would like to be notified via email of any game changes or be reminded of upcoming games, please register on rSchool Today.  Select Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. At the top of the next page, click “Notify Me!” and follow the user-friendly directions. Maps to schools are also available on this site.

Use of School Facilities

  Request for District Facility Use,  Requests to use District Facilities are now done online. At website, register and fill out the necessary information. Requests must be made 10 days prior to event.

Athletic Passes/Tickets

Prices for games are $2.00 for students and $4.00 for adults. Contact the High School Office at (608) 582-2291 Ext. 1421 for additional information.

Season athletic passes, good for MS & HS home games*, can be purchased at the High School Main Office starting Monday, August 7th, 8:00am – 3:30pm.

Family = $90
Individual = $45
Student = $20
Student in Athletics = $10

  • Good for all Middle School and High School games.
  • Purchase at the High School Main Office.
  • Anyone 62 years or older may pick up a free athletic pass to all home, non-tournament athletic events at the High School Office.
  • Does not include WIAA tournament games and if a contest is sold out.
