The Tech Ed Department receives a CNC Lathe

The Tech Ed Department recently received a CNC Lathe. G-E-T applied for and received a $10,000 grant through the DPI, and Fastenal made a matching donation.

CNC lathes use computer coding to produce prototypes and products.

Students getting training in this area are receiving essential skills for many occupations including as a machinist, CNC operator, programmer, industrial maintenance, tool room specialist, blueprint reader, engineer project designer, or metal manufacturing sales.
