The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District sent out 3 calls this month: January 15th, 22nd, and 27th due to the weather.
There are several reasons you may have not received the call.
- A number is listed as “deactivated” in our system because Blackboard Connect now flags phone numbers as “deactivated” if the mobile carrier reports that the number has been deactivated on their network. This is an effort to be in compliance with the FCCs regulations concerning the Telephone Consumer Protection Act known as TCPA. This occurs when a number is kept but service providers have changed.
- If someone during a call has “Opt-Out” previously. If a recipient desires to opt back into receiving informational calls, the recipient can dial the Opt-out Hotline: 855-502-7867 “press 2 to opt back in”. The recipient must dial from the number that is opted out or contact the District Office.
- Your number has changed and you need to notify your child’s school.
