The Kloset

The Kloset started with an idea. How do we address the growing basic clothing needs of our students and their families?

The Kloset is located in the former Kindernook building in Galesville. What started several years ago with one room has now grown to three. It is a place where families in need can access toiletries, gently used/new clothing, coats, winter outerwear, etc. Thanks to the donations of gently used and new clothing from our school district staff, community church members and the multiple public and private donors, the Kloset has helped many of our students and their families with their clothing needs.

Things have been very busy at the Kloset! We have been able to help many of our students. This winter season we have given out over 75 pairs of boots, many coats, gloves, mittens and hats.

If you are a student or family that could benefit from donated items such as coats, hats, mittens, boots, toiletries and clothing please contact Karen at Student Services 608-534-6394 x5900, Trempealeau Elementary. She will contact Tracey Hogden, Pupil Services Director, or Barbara Hogden, School Nurse, and they will assist the student/family.  The Kloset is available to anyone that is in need of temporary assistance with clothing. We don’t guarantee that we have all sizes or the desired color but we do have a good supply of warm winter clothing and outerwear for children/young adults. We no longer carry infant or adult clothing.
